The Lean journey does not stop for the qualified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt within the Mater Hospital. Apart from their clinical work commitments, our Green Belts are employees who spend time on continuing process improvement teams. They analyse and solve identified problems, and are involved with Six Sigma, Lean or other quality improvement projects.
The EPSIlon Project team are currently working on incrementally reviewing the pathways for patients in relation to scheduled care processes. This includes working on identifying NVA in relation to scheduling for both day cases and inpatients; cancellation Process; DNA / CNA processes; re-scheduling Process and admission, in order to remove all non-value-add for patients, staff and relevant stakeholders.
